Ich hatte euch ja noch Bilder vom Werdegang meines Embroidery Colliers "Carnival of Colors" für die Toho Challenge versprochen. Leider habe ich nicht jeden Zwischenschritt fotografiert, so dass es sich für eine Anleitung nicht eignet, aber einen ersten Eindruck kann man so schon mal bekommen und bei Fragen könnt ihr natürlich, wie immer, gerne eine Mail schreiben.
I promised you fotos from the development of my embroidery necklace "Carnival of Colors" for the Toho Challenge. Unfortunately, I haven't photographed every intermediate step, so it is not suitable for a tutorial, but you can get a first impression and if you have any questions you can of course, as always, write an email.
Das war der Anfang, zuerst hatte ich nur an einen Anhänger gedacht und ich habe es mal mit einem Stickrahmen ausprobiert, was erstaunlich gut funktioniert hat.
Zuerst habe ich den Fimo-Stein mit E6000 aufgeklebt und in Peyote mit Delicas eingefasst. Dann habe ich mir eine Skizze gemacht um die Perlen drumherum halbwegs gleichmäßig positionieren zu können.
Die Mitte der Papierskizze habe ich ausgeschnitten und um den Stein gelegt um dann Markierungen an den richtigen Stellen machen zu können.
Ich benutze immer Alcantara für die Vorder- und Rückseite, eigentlich wird für die Vorderseite Stiff Stuff empfohlen, das habe ich aber noch nie ausprobiert.
That was the beginning, at first I only thought of a pendant and I tried it with an embroidery hoop, which worked surprisingly well.
First I glued the Fimo stone with E6000 and framed it in peyote with Delicas. Then I made a sketch to be able to position the beads evenly around the stone.
I cut out the middle of the paper sketch and placed it around the stone so I could mark the right places.
I always use Alcantara for the front and back, actually Stiff Stuff is recommended for the front, but I've never tried that.
Daraus ist dann erst mal der Anhänger entstanden.
From this the pendant emerged.

Dann habe ich den Fehler gemacht meine Schwestern zu fragen, ob ich einfach Kettenstränge anfüge oder eine ganze Kette in Embroidery mache. 😂
Natürlich waren sie für das Komplettset...
I should not have asked my sisters to just add chain strands or make the whole necklace in embroidery. 😂
Of course they vote for the Embroidery ...
Auch hier habe ich wieder eine Papierszkizze angefertig. Das geht übrigens hervorragend mit Inkscape. Wer die Skizze haben möchte kann mir gerne eine Mail schicken.

Das Ganze auf Alcantara übertragen und in einen größeren Stickrahmen gespannt (ich war etwas geizig mit dem Alcantara 🙈)
The whole thing was transferred to Alcantara and stretched in a larger embroidery frame (I was a bit stingy with the Alcantara 🙈)
Es wächst / It grows
Die Teile dann mit E6000 an der Rückseite zusammengeklebt (das war natürlich nicht optimal, aber es sollte ja erst nur ein Anhänger werden) und die Lücken zugeperlt.
The parts were then glued together on the back with E6000 (that was of course not ideal, but it should only be a pendant first) and the gaps where filled with beads.
Reinforced with thin plastic on the back (cardboard is also possible) and a layer of Alcantara glued against it so that it looks neat and beautiful. Stapled with clothespins to dry. 😂
Zum Schluss die Ränder noch mit einer Reihe Rocailles versäubert.
Finally, the edges are finished with a row of seed beads.
