Endlich kann ich euch meine süßen Perlentäschchen "Kings & Crowns" zeigen. 👑✨
Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass es so schwer ist solche Täschchen zu häkeln...Angefangen habe ich Anfang des Jahres, natürlich direkt ein eigenes Muster entwickelt, das tolle Video von Anna Brodbeck geschaut und mit normalen 11/0 Rocailles gestartet.
Der Anfang ist echt kniffelig, wenn man die ersten Perlen häkelt ist es schwierig zu sehen, wo man als nächstes einstechen muss. Dann hatte ich scheinbar eine alte Programmversion von Jbeads (mit dem man Muster für rundgehäkeltes erstellen kann) und das hat mir immer die Zeile am Rand des Blattes verschluckt, so dass mein Muster nicht passte. Die habe ich mir dann mühsam selber dazu geschrieben, bis ich mir mal eine neue Version des Programmes installiert habe - jetzt funktioniert es.
Dann hatte ich viel zu viele Perlen in der Runde und der normale Bügel passte nicht. Also einen größeren Bügel bestellt, der dann aber zu groß war. Als ich dann einen halbwegs passenden Bügel hatte, hab ich mich mit dem Annähen echt schwer getan und hab ihn auch nicht gerade angenäht. Auf einer Seite waren viel mehr Perlen als auf der anderen. Also hab ich das Teil erst mal in die Ecke gelegt und ein weiteres, etwas kleineres Täschchen angefangen mit meinem Kronen-Muster, welches ich schon für mein Peyote-Armband entwickelt hatte.
Dafür musste ich mir neues Garn kaufen, hab es dann wie das vorherige Täschchen mit einer Häkelnadel 1,25 gehäkelt und als es fertig war gemerkt, dass es viel zu steif war. Beim zumachen ist mir direkt eine Perle geknackt, die in den Bügel geraten ist. Also komplett wieder aufgemacht und mit einer Häkelnadel 1,5 neu gehäkelt. Das Bügel annähen hat dann auch noch mal zwei Anläufe gebraucht, bis er gerade drin saß und selbst dann sah es noch krumm und schief aus. Bis ich auf die Idee kam, ein kleines Tuch ins Täschchen zu stopfen, so dass es seine gewünschte Form angenommen hat. Und da ich dann so begeistert war, dass es endlich geklappt hat, habe ich noch zwei weitere für meine Schwestern als Überraschung zum Schwesterntag am 02.08. gehäkelt. Ich denke, die Überraschung ist ganz gut gelungen. 😅💕
Finally, I can show you my cute little crocheted bead purses, “Kings & Crowns”! 👑✨
I never would have thought that crocheting these little purses would be so difficult… I started at the beginning of the year, of course immediately designing my own pattern, watching the great video by Anna Brodbeck, and starting with regular 11/0 seed beads.
The beginning is really tricky. When you crochet the first few beads, it’s difficult to see where you need to insert the hook next. Then, apparently, I had an old version of JBeads (a program you can use to create patterns for tubular bead crochet), and it kept leaving out the row at the edge of the sheet, which meant that my pattern didn’t work properly. So I painstakingly added that row myself until I finally installed a newer version of the program — and now it works!
Then I had way too many beads in each round, so the regular purse frame didn’t fit. So I ordered a larger frame, which turned out to be too large. Once I finally found a frame that was more or less the right size, I really struggled with sewing it onto the purse — and I didn’t even manage to sew it on straight. There were far more beads on one side than on the other.
So I put that project aside for the time being and started another, slightly smaller purse using my crown pattern, which I had previously designed for my Peyote bracelet.
For this one, I had to buy some new thread. I crocheted it just like the first purse, using a 1.25 mm crochet hook. But when it was finished, I realized that it was much too stiff. When I tried to close it, one of the beads immediately cracked because it had gotten caught in the frame.
So I completely took it apart again and crocheted it all over with a 1.5 mm crochet hook.
Sewing on the frame took another two attempts before I finally got it sitting straight. And even then, it still looked crooked and wonky. Until I had the idea of stuffing a small cloth inside the purse so that it would take on the shape I wanted.
And because I was so thrilled that it had finally worked, I crocheted two more for my sisters as a surprise for Sisters’ Day on August 2nd.
I think the surprise turned out pretty well. 😅💕
