Polarlichter das Set

Zu meiner Embroidery-Kette "Polarlichter" habe ich mir noch einen passenden Armreif und einen Ring gemacht. Leider sind die beiden Sachen nicht mehr passend zur Creativa fertig geworden, aber irgendwann ergibt sich bestimmt eine Gelegenheit das Set auszuführen. 😊

I made a matching bangle and ring for my "Northern Lights" embroidered necklace. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to finish them in time for Creativa, but I'm sure an opportunity to wear the set will come up in the future. 😊

Polarlichter

Diese Kette habe ich letztes Jahr im Oktober auf einem Perlenwochenende angefangen. Die Elemente hatte ich danach relativ schnell fertig, aber dann lagen sie da erst mal und ich hatte keine Idee, wie ich sie am besten zusammenstelle und aneinandernähe. Die Creativa im März war dann der Anlass, dass ich mich endlich aufgerafft habe sie fertig zu stellen, damit ich sie dort tragen konnte.
Ich hab mal ein bisschen mit ChatGTP rumgespielt - damit kann man ja tolle Bilder aus seinen eher mittelmäßigen Fotos machen...

I started this necklace last October during a beading weekend. I finished the single elements a few weeks later, but then they just lay there for a while, as I had no idea how to arrange them in the best way and put them together. The Creativa fair in March finally gave me the push I needed to buckle down and finish it—so that I could wear it there.

I’ve also been playing around with ChatGPT—it really lets you turn rather mediocre photos into some pretty amazing images...

Kleine Windmühlen / Little windmills

Letztes Jahr im Oktober war ich wieder mit meiner lieben Perlenfreundin Mirjam auf einem tollen Perlenwochenende mit ca, 25 Perlenbegeisterten.
Ich hatte Mirjam ein paar meiner Resin - Cabochons mitgebracht und daraus ist wieder ein Gemeinschaftsprojekt entstanden was ich euch jetzt endlich mal zeigen möchte.
Die Steine sind in RAW und Peyote eingefasst, was bei der Dicke der Steine gar nicht so einfach war. Die kleinen Windmühlen sind mit 8 mm Chatons, Superduos und Rocailles in verschiedenen Größen gefädelt und die Basis wiederum ist in Netztechnik.
Das hat wieder richtig viel Spaß gemacht und ich freue mich schon auf das kommende Perlentreffen im Oktober!

Last October, I went to a wonderful beading weekend with my dear beading friend Mirjam, who was joined by about 25 other bead enthusiasts.
I gave Mirjam some of my resin cabochons, and this resulted in another collaborative project, which I'd like to finally show you.
The stones are set in raw and peyote, which wasn't easy because of the thickness of the stones. The little windmills are made with 8 mm chatons, Superduos, and seed beads in various sizes, and the base is made with in netting technique.
It was a lot of fun again, and I'm already looking forward to the upcoming beading weekend in October!

Mehr Steine aus Epoxid Harz / Resin

Da man so tolle Steine aus Epoxid Harz gießen und für's Perlenhobby verwenden kann, habe ich noch ein paar mehr Cabochons hergestellt.
Einige der Steine aus diesem Post und noch ein paar andere habe ich bereits mit Perlen eingefasst und werde sie euch in weiteren Posts noch zeigen.
Und für diese kleinen Schönheiten fällt mir bestimmt auch noch was tolles ein.

Since you can cast such beautiful stones from epoxy resin and use them for your beading hobby, I made a few more cabochons.
I've already set some of the stones from this post and a few others with beads and will show them to you in future posts.
And I'm sure I'll come up with something great for these little beauties.

Epoxidharz / Resin Cabochons

Nachdem ich im Internet ein paar mal auf Sachen aus Epoxidharz gestoßen war, bin ich neugierig geworden und musste das auch mal ausprobieren.
Auf YouTube gibt es unzählige Videos was man so alles damit anstellen kann und besonders inspiriert und geholfen hat mir dieser Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@daniel..cooper
Es macht richtig viel Spaß und es kommen unglaublich tolle Steine dabei heraus. Der Herz-Stein in meiner diesjährigen Toho-Challenge ist übrigens auch selbst gemacht aus Epoxidharz.

It's really fun and the cabochons that come out are incredibly great. The heart cabochon in my Toho-Challenge from this year is also one of my resin creations.
