Power Flower - mein Messe-Set / Power Flower - my set for the bead fair

Inzwischen habe ich mein Messe-Set fertig und kann es euch, wie versprochen, zeigen.
Es ist ja auch nur noch eine Woche bis zur Messe und wir freuen uns schon riesig!
Mit der Messe verbinden wir noch ein paar Tage Perlenurlaub bei Daniela, da es von ihr der kürzeste Weg nach Hamburg ist und so nisten wir uns bei ihr bis Mittwoch Abend ein. 😁

Mit der Kette bin ich sehr zufrieden, sie liegt echt toll am Hals. Das Armband hat mir etwas Schwierigkeiten bereitet, da es bei der gleichen Verbindung wie bei der Kette viel zu weit auseinanderklaffte - also alles noch mal aufgeschnitten und etwas anders gemacht. Das gefiel mir dann schon besser aber es fehlte noch was... und so ist ein Wickelarmband entstanden.

Meanwhile I have finished my beading set for the fair in Hamburg and can show it to you as promised.
There is only one week left until we go to the fair and we are looking forward to it!
We combine the visit of the fair with a few beading days at Daniela's home, from her it's the shortest way to Hamburg and so we occupy her home until Wednesday. 😁

I'm very satisfied with the necklace, it fits perfect around the neck. The bracelet made some problems because with the same connections as the necklace the elements diverge - so I had to cut it off and made it a bit smaller. That was much better, but something was missing... and so it became a wrapped bracelet.

Mein / My Velvet Sky

Heute ist mir aufgefallen, dass ich mein Velvet Sky nach einer Anleitung von Nicole noch gar nicht hier gezeigt habe. Das möchte ich jetzt nachholen.

Die Anleitung dazu hatten wir auf einer Art Klapp-Visitenkarte angefertigt und jeder der uns auf der Perlenkunstmesse 2016 angesprochen hat, hat eine von diesen Anleitungen erhalten.

Ein paar von diesen Anleitungen sind noch übrig und wir haben sie bei der diesjährigen Perlenkunstmesse in Hamburg wieder dabei. Also, wenn ihr uns seht und noch keine Anleitung habt, dann sprecht uns einfach an.


Today I recognized that I didn't show my Velvet Sky bracelet after a pattern of Nicole so far. This I want to make up now.

The pattern for this bracelet, that we had drawn as a kind of fold-card, everyone who spoke to us could get it at the bead fair 2016 in Hamburg.

Some of this patterns are left, so we will take them to this year's bead fair in Hamburg again. If you don't already have one of this patterns please speak to us and you will get one.

Vorbereitungen für die Perlenkunstmesse in Hamburg / Preparations

Freut Ihr euch auch schon so auf die Perlenkunstmesse in Hamburg im August? Durch eine Aktion des Perlenstandes haben wir auch schon unsere Eintrittskarten - an dieser Stelle noch einmal vielen Dank dafür!
Voraussichtlich werden wir am Samstag den ganzen Tag auf der Messe sein und freuen uns schon darauf ein paar nette Perlerinnen wiederzusehen, vielleicht ein paar neue kennenzulernen und natürlich die ein oder andere Neuheit oder ausgegangene Perlen zu shoppen.

Ich bin gerade bei der Umsetzung meines Messe-Sets und habe schon einige Elemente fertig. Jetzt geht es ans zusammensetzen und ich bin gespannt, ob die Elemente reichen - aber zur Not hab ich noch genügend Perlen für ein paar weitere Elemente.

Are you looking forward to the Perlenkunstmesse in Hamburg in August like we do? Because of a promotion of the Perlenstand we already have our tickets - thank you very much!
We will be at the fair on Saturday and we are looking forward to meet some beading friends, maybe meet some new ones and shop new beads.

At the moment I'm implementing my beading-fair-set and I already finished some elements. Now I have to connect them and I'm curious if they suffice - but in a pinch I have enough beads in my stash for some more elements.

Sommerloch... nicht mit uns / Summer slump... not with us

Auch wir haben das Sommerloch bemerkt, viele Leute sind im Urlaub, bei dem tollen Wetter unterwegs oder relaxen auf der Terrasse.

Weaving Delight - Hortense E. Thompson

Diese Kette in Netztechnik ist von Hortense E. Thompson und wurde im kleinen niederländischen Büchlein Weaving Delight veröffentlicht.
Da meine braune Version kaputt gegangen war, habe ich nach der Reparatur direkt noch eine Zweite gemacht mit den schönen Rundperlen in light Sapphire Vitrail.

This necklace in netweaving is a pattern from Hortense E. Thompson and was published in the Dutch booklet Weaving Delight.
Because my brown version was damaged, I made a second one with the beautiful round beads in light sapphire vitrail after I repaired it.

Juwel von Tara - es geht weiter / it's going on

Und weil's so schön war, hier noch zwei weitere Farbkombinationen meines "Juwel von Tara".
Einmal lila-creme und einmal schwarz-rosegold.

Diamond Daisy Set

Heute habe ich das Bild meines "Diamond Daisy Set" aus der Bead & Button von Conny (Senior Technical Editor Bead & Button Magazine) bekommen und kann euch endlich auch diese Veröffentlichung zeigen (Bead & Button Heft August 2019). Besonders gefreut hat mich, dass das ganze Set veröffentlicht wurde und nicht, wie erst angedacht, nur das Armband. Wo ich Sets doch so liebe! 😍
Für das Set braucht man CzechMates Diamond Beads, CzechMates Cabochons, GemDuos und Demi Rounds in 11/0 und 8/0.
Das Foto aus der Zeitschrift ist natürlich wieder um Welten besser als meine eigenen.

Today I got the photo of my "Diamond Daisy Set" that's been published in the Bead & Button magazine August 2019 from Conny (Senior Technical Editor Bead & Button Magazine) and finally I can show it to you. Especially I am happy because they published the whole set and not, as primary contemplated, only the bracelet. I always love to have a whole set, as you know! 😍
The following material is needed for the set: CzechMates Diamond Beads, CzechMates Cabochons, GemDuos and Demi Rounds in 11/0 and 8/0.
Of course the photo of the magazine is much better than mine.

Taraneh Armband

Ich freue mich sehr über meine erste Veröffentlichung in der aktuellen Beadwork!
Darin findet Ihr meine Anleitung für ein wellenförmiges Armband mit Crescents, Mini-Duos und Demi Rounds in allen Größen Namens "Taraneh".
Es dauert immer echt lange von der Zusage bis zur Veröffentlichung und man kann es kaum erwarten... Aber so eine Zeitschrift zu produzieren ist sicherlich eine Menge Arbeit und Aufwand und bedarf genauer Planung. Um so schöner ist es dann, wenn man zum ersten mal den fertigen Artikel zu sehen bekommt und schließlich das druckfrische Magazin in den Händen hält.
Und es wird nicht die letzte Veröffentlichung in diesem Jahr sein. 😉

I'm so happy about my first publication in the current Beadwork!
You find my waved bracelet with Crescents, Mini-Duos and Demi Rounds in all sizes named "Taraneh" in that issue.
It takes a long time from acceptance to publication and it's hard to wait... But I think it's a big amount of work and logistics to produce such a magazine. And in the end it's fantastic when you see the finished article the first time.
And it will not be the last publication this year. 😉
